Welcome to Gregorian-Rite.com

Welcome to Gregorian-Rite.com. This site is dedicated to providing educational material about the Gregorian Rite (according the the 1962 Missal.) The Gregorian Rite, alternatively known as the Traditional Latin Mass, the Tridentine Mass, the Usus Antiquior, or the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite.

Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos, President of the Pontifical Commission Ecclsia Dei has stated that the Gregorian Rite "is a treasure that belongs to the whole Catholic Church and which should be widely available to all of Christ’s faithful." It is difficult for something to be widely available if it is not widely known. It is for this reason that this site exists.

www.Gregorian-Rite.com is established for sole reason of providing as much material about this beautiful liturgy as we possibly can. This effort is a work in progress, but in these pages you will find Official Documents from Popes and Councils about the Gregorian Rite and liturgy in general. Also to be found will be learning materials, Missals, the liturgical calendar, prayers of the mass, important statements, and instruction. In short, anything we can think of that will help in understanding and actively participating in the Gregorian Rite.

We sincerely hope that you will find this site useful. If you have any suggestions on additional material that we can include or any other ways to make this site better, please contact us at editors [at] Gregorian-Rite [dot] com.
